Patrice Bergeron has a fractured right foot and he will be re-evaluated in two weeks.
That was a quick update on Bergeron’s status after he missed the morning skate. He was wearing a walking boot after Saturday’s game versus Toronto, but he managed to play Sunday against Buffalo. Bergeron underwent a secondary and more definitive CT scan on Monday. General manager Don Sweeney announced on Tuesday, the scan revealed the injury. Bergeron will be out at least two weeks.
Bergeron is the Bruins leading goal scorer with (27) in 55 games. he is a rare player producing at a point-per-game pace, (54) in 55 games. This is bad news for fantasy hockey players in all formats. However, what this Boston team will miss most is Bergeron’s world-class two-way play.
