Blackhawks finish evaluation of general manager candidates

Chicago Blackhawks CEO Danny Wirtz said Thursday the club has now concluded its evaluation of candidates in the search for a new general manager.

The Blackhawks conducted numerous interviews with potential candidates for the vacant position including former Bruins and Oilers GM Peter Chiarelli, current Blackhawks interim GM Kyle Davidson, Carolina Hurricanes assistant GM Eric Tulsky and former Montreal Canadiens assistant GM Scott Mellanby. The Blackhawks have also had an interest in Toronto Raptors vice president Teresa Resch, according to Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman, and Cubs assistant GM Jeff Greenberg as part of the organization indicating it would be interviewing candidates outside of hockey.
