Coach Joel Quenneville has confirmed that Keith Yandle will play on Sunday night against Chicago in Florida’s season opener
Yandle’s streak of 866 consecutive games played was believed to be in jeopardy based on the way he was being used during training camp. There were reports that he had fallen out of favor with the team and he wasn’t skating with the main group until Saturday. Yandle is projected to be paired with Anton Stralman on Sunday night and he is slated to play on the top power-play unit.
