Jack Campbell out 4-6 weeks with knee injury

Jack Campbell has a meniscus tear in his knee and needs surgery.

Campbell is expected to miss the next four-to-six weeks as a result. The timing couldn’t be worse for the Kings given that Jonathan Quick is also sidelined with a Knee Injury. Campbell suffered the injury during Saturday’s contest.

The LA Kings have recalled goaltender Cal Petersen from the Ontario Reign, Kings Vice President and General Manager Rob Blake announced this morning.

Petersen, 24, has played in 10 games with the Reign this season, his second season with the club after signing with the Kings in 2017 as a free agent. He has a 2-3-1 record, a 4.29 goals-against-average and a .881 save percentage.

The Kings’ are currently last in the NHL with a record of: 5-10-1.

Nobody expected this… and it will not be getting any better with this injury. Sorry, to fans of the LA Kings!
