No True Center, No Paul George: Pacers Says No Problem

Victor Oladipo lays it up against D'Angelo Russell

Humongous debut seasons match victory for the Indiana Pacers with all starters in double-digit production to bag a win against Brooklyn Nets.

Darren Collison took over the missing link left by Paul George as the main playmaker. Collison finished with a double-double performance to carry his team throughout the game with his 21 points and 11 assists explosion.

Indiana Pacers are just gunning it with absolute accuracy from anywhere on the court that resulted in a very huge and balanced scoring within and beyond the shaded area.

Victor Oladipo even made the small men power of the Indiana stronger, scoring 22 big points in his 25 minutes of play.

Surprisingly, Indiana Pacers didn’t let Nets dominate the shaded area despite their lack of a center player. They successfully shut down Timofey Mozgov with just 4 points and 3 rebounds. The inside control gave them the dagger to completely cut the nets bind to victory out of reach. Aside from stopping Mozgov, Pacer’s power forward also took control of the offense inside. Nets under the rim were completely collapsed. Pacers took the lead in terms of points in the paint 66-52.

Pacers, considering their smaller lineup will obviously have a faster game pace, thus they outscored Nets in fastbreak points 28-13.

They are just on fire from any side and spot if the court, leaving Brooklyn Nets no room to start with. Indiana Pacers won the high-scoring shootout 140-131. D’Angelo Russell’s 30 point explosion, despite doubling his average points per game, was still not enough to neutralize and defeat the dashing Pacers. Russell’s performance which we may not see everyday ended up in vain.

Pacers 140 – Oladipo 22, Collison 21, Turner 21, Young 17, Bogdanovic 14, bench – 45

Nets 131 – Russsell 30, Lin 18, Hollis-Jefferson 14, Carroll 10, Mozgov 4, bench - 55
