Chris Ellis Trade Maybe Expected But Still Shocked the Fans

By now it is no secret, the 2013 slam dunk champion and 28-year-old Chris Ellis has been traded to Blackwater for the 25-year-old Art Dela Cruz. While there were multiple rumors in the past surrounding potential trade, no one seemed to believe that it will happen or at least it will happen soon.

Yesterday, as per sources, the trade was finally revealed and fans had mixed reactions.

Ginebra would receive Art Dela Cruz and Raymund Aguilar while Blackwater Elite will accept Chris Ellis and Dave Marcelo both of which has been instrumental in the team.

Chris Ellis has been one of the beloved players of Ginebra and the news of him being traded has certainly broke the hearts of many but it isn't just the fans who will miss the high flyer Filipino American.

Coach Tim Cone voiced on twitter what he felt on the trade and mentioned that Chris Ellis will be missed in so many ways.

Tim Cone also commented that Dave Marcelo and the rest of the Ginebra players had their own reactions about the trade.

Joe Devance mentioned on his twitter account that aside from losing a championship, being traded is one of the saddest parts of the business.

Japeth Aguilar tweeted a photo of Chris Ellis wearing a Blackwater jersey and wished him good luck.

A lot of fans also voiced out their emotions and reactions as they bid goodbye to Chris Ellis.
