Mlive’s Ansar Khan points out this morning that much of Detroit’s offensive success can be attributed to the play of Wing defensemen.
Detroit’s defensemen have racked up 104 points, tied with Ottawa for the most in the league before Monday’s games. Nicklas Lidstrom (35 points) and Mathieu Schneider (30) have accounted for a large chunk of that total.
