Roenick: A True Class Act!

How could the Americans do this to good 'ol JR, after all, the star of Tinsel Town deserves more than this latest disgrace. Maybe because they are serious (not that they have a chance though) about actually trying to compete this time in Turin. Come on JR, maybe they left you off the team because your 12th in scoring on your own team! JR, don't be totally selfish, think about the other great American hockey men that were also left off the squad, such as:

Tom Preissing- Who scored a whopping 7 pts. all season with the Kregfeld Penguines of Germany last year.

Joe Corvo- A Legendary WMU Bronco of the CCHA.

Brett Clark-and let's not forget Brett (even though he's Canadian) who's claim to fame is being listed in TSN's scouting report as having the career potential of a reserve defenseman.

Yes JR, don't be too self-centered and think about the other greats that were also shown the same disservice as you were by not being named olympians. Trivia time: what do Preissing, Corvo, and Clark all have in common, you got it JR, they all have more points than you so far this season and they're defensemen.

Yesterday you stated that"I'm one of the guys that have gotten the USA to where it is today." Did you mean that one whole assist you totaled in the '98 Olympics (when you were 8 years younger) or are you referring to the "Ugly American" image, because you sure did help that--- what did posses you to try to burn down the Olympic Village in Nagano after your team was embarrassed

No JR, the real reason you were left off the squad is that Olympians don't dance like girls as evidenced by this videoclip of you that the selection committee found on Jez Golbez's site. Try some dancing lessons and better luck in 2010!
