Chris Froome is a British professional road racing cyclist. He is best known for winning the Tour de France four times, becoming the first British rider to do so. Froome was born in Nairobi, Kenya, and moved to the United Kingdom aged 12. He began racing on the track at the age of 13 and joined a British Cycling junior team at the age of 18. He turned professional in 2007, aged 21. Froome’s first major win came at the 2013 Tour de France, where he finished first overall.
