Inter paid almost €31.8 million in Agent Fees, up from €25 million in 2018 and €3m in 2017, it was only a little more than €3 million – a very low figure, which was probably an exception. A year before, the Nerazzurri already spent around €24 million.
Inter spent almost €200m last year, signing the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Valentino Lazaro, Matteo Politano and Nicolò Barella to give Antonio Conte a chance to close the gap to Juventus.
As expected, Juventus spent the most in Agent fees last year, spending €44m, compared to €20m in 2018 and €42 million in 2017.
Roma and AC Milan paid double-digit million-euro figures as well. Second-placed Lazio got on with only €4.5 million, about €40 million less than the record titleholders from Turin, who only sit one point ahead of the Biancocelesti.
The last two places in the Serie A agent fee ranking go to Brescia Calcio and US Lecce, who were promoted to the top tier last year.
The third newly-promoted club of the season, Hellas Verona, currently sitting in a strong eighth spot, play an impressive season with expenses for agents of around €1.8 million, which is €4 million or €5 million below the amount, traditional clubs Genoa and Sampdoria paid respectively. Both are currently battling relegation.
