Hawaii North Shore's Pupukea Beach (Shark's Cove)

Hanauma Bay is not the only Marine Life Conservation District teeming with fish, coral and shells in Hawaii. There is an 80-acre beach park on the North Shore called "Sharks Cove". They do not have sharks there. They say the shape of the cove resembles a sharks mouth. I sometimes take people snorkeling and scuba diving there in the summer. There are big waves there in the winter and it is dangerous to go in the water. There are some nice caverns and lava tubes out side the cove on the right side.
Since Monday was Labor Day, I had four days off. I decided to go to the North Shore with a friend. We stopped off at Haleiwa Joe's Seafood Grill for some shrimp and at Turtle Bay resort for a few drinks.
There is a shrimp farm on the North Shore and many places selling shrimp plate lunches.
The waiter there new me from Hanauma Bay. He lives on the North Shore and works as a Lifeguard at Hanauma Bay once a week. I did not know that he worked there.  I would not want to drive from the North Shore to Hanauma Bay. It is the opposite side of the island and probably takes an hour and a half to drive.
It was nice to relax in the country and enjoy the scenery. Tomorrow I will be back at work at Hanauma Bay.
