Lindegaard: I Will Respect Manager's Decision

Manchester United Goal Keeper Anders Lindegaard said that it was very hard to get the acceptance in the Dressing Room and it took him quite a while to fit in.

The £3.5m goal keeper who joined Manchester United last January expressed the difficulties that he had to face to fit into Manchester United dressing room.

"It has been a challenging time," he said. "I felt being accepted was very hard. There is a hierarchy in the dressing room and it’s based simply on how often you play and how good you are.

"It’s only over the last month that I have felt accepted and I feel I am finding my place.

"Up until now, it has been important to think before speaking and that has been hard because I’m a spontaneous person."

Lindgaard also expressed that his pre-season was very good and he expects good things.

"I’m proud to have created a debate over the goalkeeper position, and over what journalists thought was a certainty David would play," he said.

"I knew this pre-season was going to be the most important in my Manchester United career and going on the trip to America was the real test.

"I felt I did well and I feel my pre-season has been close to perfection. I’m very optimistic."

Lindegaard also said that if Sir Alex don't want him to start then he will stay positive and respect whatever decision he takes.

"But if the manager decides on De Gea, it’s not going to be the end of the world for me.

"I will be very disappointed and any athlete in a similar position would be the same. But I will always respect his decision."
