2005 BMW E46 M3 Silver Gray w/ 18″ CCW Classic Race Wheels

One day I was minding my own business, scrolling my Facebook feed like I normally do. I stopped as something caught my eye. Someone posted a photo of their BMW E46 M3 with wheels which I rarely, if ever, see on a BMW – 18″ CCW Classics.

In my opinion, the wheels matched the body of the E46 M3 perfectly, and the size and offset was just right. Often times when someone has CCW wheels on their E46 M3, it’s because they have a Wide Body Kit, and they need custom wheels to fill in the body. So they order some crazy sizes such as 18×13 with insane offsets that would only work if you had a wide body kit – something I’m just not that interested in.

However, when I saw these wheels, which were made to perfectly fit the stock M3 body’s wider fenders, I fell in love. I instantly private messaged the owner and said “Hey! If you ever decide on selling your wheels, let me know :)”

After months of back and forth, the owner agreed and I made the drive from the Bay Area down to Southern California to pick the wheels up. When I saw them in person, they were even better than in photos and I was extremely excited to load them in the back of my truck and make the 6 hour drive back home to mount them up.

Side Shot of my 18″ CCW Classics

The wheels are the race version of CCW Classics which means they have a different face. The face has drilled holes around the edge as well as no ability to run center caps. The result is the wheel is lighter than the street version. The rears come in at right around 20 lbs which is very light for a 18×11 wheel!

CCW Classic Race Specs:

  • Front: 18×9 with a +9 offset
  • Rear: 18×11 with a +25 offset

Tire Specs:

  • Michelin P4S Tires
  • 245/35/18 Front
  • 285/35/18 Rear
Love this shot

I love these wheels and am really happy with how they turned out. I wasn’t going for the “stance” look, so I’m glad they turned out the way I wanted them. Right now the Michelin P4S are 285 in the rear and I think I can likely go up to a 295 there, and also go up to a 265 in the front, though it might be a bit much for a 9″ wide wheel.

If you have any questions on my fitment or anything else about my 2005 BMW E46 M3, let me know in the comments, and follow me to keep up to date on my M3 antics
