IPL 2024 CSK vs GT: Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, GT’s opening duo, gave the squad a fantastic start with a record-breaking partnership of 210 runs after being asked to bat first. Former India opener Aakash Chopra heaped accolades onto them for their aggressive batting.

In the ongoing IPL 2024, the Gujarat Titans (GT) defeated the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 35 runs on May 10 at the magnificent Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad thanks to a masterful effort.

Shubman Gill also began striking from the off, impressing Chopra just as much with his free-flowing batting. After jumping down the track, he smashed a pretty excellent six against the left-arm spinner. In Mitchell Santner’s opening over, he did it. You should not bowl on his legs after that. He will not stop hitting fours if you bowl on his legs.

Gill’s 104 off 55 balls and Sudharsan’s 103 off just 51 deliveries helped the Titans put up a massive 232 runs for CSK to chase. The only bowler for the CSK camp to take wickets was Tushar Deshpande. In his four overs allotted, he finished with figures of 2/33.

Despite attempts by Daryl Mitchell with 63 and Moeen Ali with 56, CSK was always playing catch-up due to the duo’s onslaught. But GT easily defended their total thanks to Mohit Sharma’s outstanding 3/31, which put breaks to the chase.
