In the inaugural match of the annual “Neophytos Chandriotis” preseason tournament held in Cyprus, Maccabi Tel Aviv emerged victorious over Crvena Zvezda with a score of 112-109, after an intense contest lasting two overtime periods.
Maccabi’s standout performers included Bonzie Colson with 18 points, Romain Sorkin with 17 points, and Wade Baldwin, who contributed 14 points.
The Israeli powerhouse, after a grueling battle, began the second overtime period with a dominant display, ultimately securing the victory at 110-103.
On the opposing side, Nemanja Nedovic and Luka Mitrovic both scored 23 points, while newcomer Rokas Giedraitis added 22 points to Crvena Zvezda’s tally.
