“Urgent Action Needed” – Vinicius Jr Calls Out Racism Yet Again After Abuse in Real Madrid’s Draw Against Sevilla

“Urgent Action Needed” – Vinicius Jr Calls Out Racism Yet Again After Abuse in Real Madrid’s Draw Against Sevilla:

Real Madrid’s rising Brazilian star Vinicius Jr. is pleading for urgent action after being subjected to racist abuse yet again during his club’s intense 1-1 draw against Sevilla on October 21, 2022. This latest disturbing incident saw a man in the stands photographed making racist monkey gestures aimed directly at Vinicius. The player also has video evidence of a child committing another racist act against him during the match.

This is sadly the 19th racist incident Vinicius has faced just in the past couple years, mainly during La Liga matches. The constant abuse has left the 22-year-old footballer incredibly frustrated.

Vinicius Calls for Authorities to Punish Offenders and Change Laws

Vinicius took to social media demanding that Spanish authorities finally take firm action, both by criminally punishing racist offenders and changing legislation to better address racism in football.

“I hope the Spanish authorities do their part and change the legislation once and for all. These people need to be criminally punished too,” the winger declared.

Vinicius also shared a video of the child’s racism against him, saying “So sad there is no one to educate her.” He highlighted his own efforts investing in education programs in Brazil aimed at changing citizens’ attitudes.

Escalating Racist Attacks Overshadow Vinicius’ Brilliance for Real

Despite the constant racist abuse, Vinicius has been shining on the pitch for Real Madrid. The young superstar has emerged as one of Real’s most dangerous attackers, terrifying defenses with his unpredictable dribbling skills and clinical finishing. But the appalling racism threatens to completely overshadow his incredible talent.

Vinicius aims to spark real change in Spanish football, saying “It would be a great first step to prepare for the 2030 World Cup. I am here to help.” With Spain potentially hosting the World Cup in 2030, the rising phenom hopes to stamp out racism in the sport once and for all at both club and international level.

Ramos Returns to Face Former Club Real Madrid for First Time

The heated La Liga match also saw Real Madrid legend Sergio Ramos face his former club for the first time since leaving in 2021 after 16 trophy-laden seasons. Ramos was brilliant on the night for his new club Sevilla, making crucial blocks and clearances to secure a 1-1 draw against his long-time Real Madrid teammates Luka Modric, Karim Benzema and others.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti warmly embraced Ramos following the intense match, wishing his former star defender the very best. Ramos will make an emotional return to Real Madrid’s Estadio Santiago Bernabeu when the clubs meet again in February.

Real Madrid Remains Atop Tight La Liga Title Race

The hard-fought draw leaves Real Madrid still atop the La Liga table after 9 matches on 25 points. But red-hot rivals Barcelona sit menacingly close behind in second place with 22 points after a blistering start to the season.

Vinicius and his Real Madrid teammates will now look to bounce back with a victory at home against Girona on October 30. But the concerning racist abuse remains the pressing issue, with Vinicius concluding, “Sorry to sound repetitive but it’s episode number 19. And counting…” until Spanish football authorities take definitive action to protect players and punish offenders.

“Congratulations to Sevilla for the quick positioning and the penalty in another sad episode for Spanish Football.”

“The face of today’s racist is stamped on websites as on several other times. I hope the Spanish authorities do their part and change the legislation once and for all. These people need to be criminally punished too.”
