Milwaukee Bucks’ Brook Lopez on Teammate Damian Lillard: “He Just Makes Us So, So Much Better.”

Milwaukee Bucks players are definitely huge fans of their newest teammate in Damian Lillard, who wouldn’t? Brook Lopez recently gave his praise to the seven-time all-star in the latest edition of Bucks’ All-Access.

The Milwaukee Bucks have put out a new docuseries called “All Access”, giving Bucks fans an inside look into what players and even head coach Adrian Griffin are up to leading up to the start of the new season.

They start off the video 11 days prior to the Damian Lillard trade, and go right into initial reactions from Dame about being traded to Milwaukee, how he felt about coming to the city, and the welcome rally that was held by the Bucks. Everyone was excited to have Lillard on the roster, his teammates had nothing but positive things to say about him. Brook Lopez said that he makes the team so much better:

“He just makes us so, so much better,” Lopez said. “The things he can do. Offense that he brings. Obviously the shooting ability everyone knows, but the playmaking, just the attention that he’s going to draw, he’s going to get so many other people open. But then his leadership abilities, so many intangibles he brings are just right in line with what it means to be a Bucks basketball player. He lines up just perfectly.”

While the Bucks had to give up players like Jrue Holiday and Grayson Allen, getting Damian Lillard in return was definitely worth it. His presence just brings an overall new sense of competitiveness to the team, as his teammates have stated several times in interviews. But, with Lillard, you’re getting a seven-time All-NBA player who averages 32.2 points per game, 7.3 assists per game, and 4.8 rebounds per game.

The Bucks were already favorites to win the NBA championship, but bringing Lillard to the team heightened their chances. He came here to win, and that’s what he’s going to try and help Milwaukee do.

Even other Bucks teammates like Bobby Portis have commented about how it’s been fun to play alongside Lillard, and how it’s helped him be able to step up his defensive game.

The Milwaukee Bucks kick off their regular season on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers. This’ll be the first time Bucks fans are able to watch Lillard have more playing minutes among players like Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Lopez.

Set your clocks to Dame Time.
