The Milwaukee Brewers principal owner is Mark Attanasio. He has owned the team since January of 2005. During this time the Brew Crew have made seven playoff appearances and have been division champions four times. Unfortunately his teams track record in the playoff hasn’t been great lately and on October 4, 2023 Milwaukee was defeated by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the Wild Card Series.
Following the game two playoff loss that eliminated the Brewers from the postseason two members of Mark Attanasio’s family were assaulted outside of the Milwaukee Hilton Hotel. The victims have been identified as Robert Attanasio, age 70, and Stacey Gonsalves, age 59.
Members of the Mark Attanasio family were assaulted following the Milwaukee Brewers game two playoff loss against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
According to Wisconsin Right Now the two victims were assaulted by a man in his 30s who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, black shoes, and black eyeglasses. He was described as a person of black skin completion, about six foot three inches tall, and approximately 160-170 lbs. No motive has been identified for the attack and it is unclear if it had anything to do with the Brewers playoff loss.
During the attack both Stacey and Robert were knocked to the ground. Stacy was reportedly punched by the suspect and Robert was repeatedly pushed down onto the cement. The physical injuries being reported are minor.
The incident was listed as “physical abuse elder person” and occurred at 9:50 p.m on October 4, 2023. Following the attack the suspect fled on foot and is said to have no connections to the family of Mark Attanasio.
