In his weekly presser, Green Bay Packers Matt LaFleur provided an update on All-Pro LB De’Vondre Campbell.
Campbell suffered a high-ankle sprain against the New Orleans Saints in Week 3 and missed last Thursday’s game against the Detroit Lions.
Head Coach Matt LaFleur confirmed that Campbell is unlikely to play in Monday’s Night game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

High-ankle sprains are usually a multi-week injury, and Green Bay has always proceeded with caution when it comes to injuries, so it isn’t a surprise Campbell is unlikely to suit up Monday Night.

This is a massive loss for the Green Bay Packers heading into Monday’s game. The impact Campbell has on the run defense cannot be overstated. The team will rely on Isaiah McDuffie, Quay Walker, and Kristan Welch, who was promoted to the active roster last week.
Las Vegas does rank last in team rushing yards per game, which is surprising considering getting Josh Jacobs back was supposed to help Las Vegas offensively with the team signing Jimmy Garoppolo, and having Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow on the outside, Jacobs hasn’t made much of an impact so far this season. So far, Jacobs has only rushed for 166 yards on 62 attempts, so Green Bay should keep Las Vegas’ rushing attack at bay and make Jimmy Garoppolo beat them.
