Chris Broussard of FS1 went onto First Things First on Thursday and discussed which team Jrue Holiday should be traded to. He was traded from the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday in a three-team deal that also sent Deandre Ayton to the Portland Trail Blazers from the Phoenix Suns and Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks from the Portland Trail Blazers.
It appears as if there are tons of suitors for Holiday. It will be interesting to see which NBA team is going to land him either before the season begins or before the NBA trade deadline. It would feel rare for him to play the 2023-2024 season with Portland. Chris Broussard said on First Things First on Thursday:
“I’d like to see Jrue Holiday go to Boston. If he goes there (for the right package) they might move ahead of the Bucks as the favorite.”
Broussard could be onto something with that statement. The Celtics, as a fit for Holiday, would be perfect for a few reasons.

Chris Broussard Is Right that Jrue Holiday with the Boston Celtics Would Potentially Make Them Favored Over the Milwaukee Bucks
Broussard thinking Holiday would be a good fit with the Celtics is very telling. Well, Boston does not have a great point guard on the roster. Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon would compete for the starting point guard job in training camp. Jrue Holiday is an upgrade over both of them.
He would be able to replace the leadership and defensive presence of Marcus Smart after he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies this offseason. The Boston Celtics might have the best starting five in the NBA if they made that trade. Robert Williams, Kristaps Porzingis, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Jrue Holiday would be the starters.
The Milwaukee Bucks starting five would be Brook Lopez, Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Pat Connaughton, and Damian Lillard. That is also a lethal starting five, but the Celtics fifth-best player in the starting five is better than the Bucks’ fifth player in the starting five.
Jrue Holiday will have other suitors as well, like the Miami Heat, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Philadelphia 76ers. Boston would feel like a better defensive team with Holiday than Milwaukee, and that is what the Bucks will miss the most. However, the one team that Milwaukee Bucks fans don’t want to see him with the most is the Boston Celtics.
