Cincinnati pushed back against the narrative that it might move Higgins during the preseason. However, a recent report suggests that the team doesn’t have the stud receiver in its long-term plans.
It makes sense after the Bengals handed Joe Burrow the largest contract in NFL history and with fellow receiver Ja’Marr Chase eyeing a record-breaking extension of his own.
An impending free agent, the 24-year-old Higgins averaged north of 1,000 receiving yards in his first three seasons. Several teams would love to have him as a long-term option moving forward.
