Series Recap: Milwaukee Brewers vs. Chicago Cubs

It was an exciting weekend in Milwaukee as the Brewers battled the Cubs. Here is a complete recap of the series.

Brewers vs. Cubs Game One: 

Final Score: 6-2 Brewers

Wade Miley took the mound for the Brewers, delivering a strong performance as the left-hander held the opposing team to two runs over six innings. On the other side, Jameson Taillon represented the Cubs, also pitching six innings, but allowing four runs.

The Brewers’ offense found its spark through Christian Yelich, who kicked off the game with a leadoff home run in the opening inning. Adding to their early lead, Rowdy Tellez contributed with a sacrifice fly in the same inning. Mark Canha further boosted the team’s score with a two-run homer. In the second inning, William Contreras of the Cubs knocked an RBI single, showcasing their determination to stay in the game.

Willy Adames extended the Brewers’ lead in the seventh inning with an RBI double, solidifying their position. As the game reached its conclusion, Hoby Milner stepped in to close out the game in a strong fashion.

Brewers vs. Cubs Game Two:

Final Score: 0-1 Cubs  

Corbin Burnes dominated the mound for the Brewers, allowing just one run over seven innings. However, Justin Steele and the Cubs bullpen effectively stifled the Brewers’ offense, leading to a 1-0 defeat for the Brewers.

Brewers vs. Cubs Game Three:

Final Score: 3-2 Cubs 

Brandon Woodruff delivered a solid performance, pitching six innings and allowing only two runs for the Brewers. On the opposing side, Kyle Hendricks also threw six innings, conceding just one unearned run for the Cubs. The Milwaukee offense found its spark in the third inning when William Contreras hit an RBI single. In the eighth inning, Mark Canha was hit by a pitch, resulting in a game-tying play. However, the Brewers’ hopes were dashed when Joel Payamps gave up a late earned run, leading to a disappointing 3-2 loss.
