Brandon Woodruff delivered a solid performance, pitching six innings and allowing only two runs for the Brewers. On the opposing side, Kyle Hendricks also threw six innings, conceding just one unearned run for the Cubs. The Milwaukee offense found its spark in the third inning when William Contreras hit an RBI single. In the eighth inning, Mark Canha was hit by a pitch, resulting in a game-tying play.
