BREAKING: Packers in trade talks Colts for Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor is the Colts star running back, who was widely considered one of the best backs in the entire NFL.

Recently however, he has been under great amounts of trade rumors as he is trying to leave Indianapolis.

A player like him should be, and is, desired by most teams around the league.

A report recently released by ESPN shows that this is applicable to the Green Bay Packers as well. The Colts have already since said that their self-imposed deadline for a Taylor trade, was Tuesday, however he remains firm on his trade request and can be traded until the NFL’s October 31st deadline.

The big question: Why trade for him?

Packers fans might think that with Adams, Dillon, and Wilson on the roster, adding a fourth running back isn’t needed on the roster. That is true, however Wilson is a young rookie with a lot of promise, as are other Packers players such as Romeo Doubs among others.

This means trade value to a rebuilding team like the Colts. Yes Green Bay is also rebuilding, but this would possible accelerate that rebuilding process.

We have the young assets, even at this very position, to make a run for a star such as Taylor. It’s always good to get as many great players on your team as possible, to have the best odds of victory.

His also played for the Wisconsin Badgers in college, so there’s some home state bias to be had there. Striking out on him isn’t the end of the world, however it would be dumb not to at least entertain the idea in my opinion.
