The Green Bay Packers have a new-look offense going into the 2023 season. The incredible amount of personnel turnover this off-season has made the Packers offense one of the youngest in the NFL. Jordan Love, Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Luke Musgrave, Tucker Kraft, Aaron Jones, and AJ Dillon have an average age of 23.8. While the young and talented group has a promising future, adding a veteran couldn’t hurt. One Packers beat writer linked the Packers to a pass catcher who was just released by the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Eagles finished the preseason 0-2-1, and with the roster deadline set for Tuesday afternoon, the team is releasing tight end Dan Arnold.
Arnold logged nine catches for 135 yards last season in Jacksonville after Evan Engram emerged for Doug Pederson.
Arnold has experienced success as a pass catcher, and in 2020, he hauled in 31 out of 45 targets for 438 yards and four touchdowns. He finished with a career-high 35 receptions in 2021, splitting time with the Panthers (three games) and Jaguars (eight games).

It is no small feat to emerge as the starting tight end for a storied franchise like the Packers. But fate, combined with Musgrave’s undeniable talent, has played its part. With Green Bay’s primary blocking tight end sidelined due to injury and their other rookie option barely making a mark during the preseason, the stage is set for Musgrave.
His bond with quarterback Jordan Love is notable. Playing every snap with Love during the preseason, Musgrave has not only gained trust but also led in targets. This growing connection could be a hint at the chemistry we are set to witness during the regular season. Kraft will be backing up Musgrave, Arnold could be the third option. Arnold, 28, would be a veteran cheap option for the room to come in a provide that third rotation when the Packers run two tight end sets.
