Aaron Rodgers Reveals His Feelings Towards the Green Bay Packers Following Trade to New York Jets

The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers went through a rocky split earlier this offseason. There was a great deal of “he said, he said” being played in the media. It was clear that both sides needed to move on from each other.

However, since the trade happened, the Packers’ organization, from the top-down, has been nothing but complimentary of the future Hall of Famer, thanking him for his service and for all the great memories. Mark Murphy, the President and CEO of the Packers, revealed that team plans to retire Rodgers’ number when his playing days are over.

But what about Rodgers? Yesterday, Kay Adams and her show “Up and Adams” visited Jets training camp, and she asked him how he is feeling towards his former team.

“Up and Adams” is show featured on FanDuel TV. During Adams’ visit with Rodgers, they got to talking about the Packers and how he feels towards the team after his dramatic trade saga. Rodgers respond:

“I definitely love. I talked to Jordan [Love] before he started training camp. I talk to Matt [LaFleur], a lot of people over there. I talked to Rasul [Douglas] recently. And I’m always in touch with Preston [Smith].

“I love those guys, I really care about them over there. A lot of people who hit me up because I’m older are the workers, the people in the building, who have been there forever.

“I love that place. That chapter is closed, for now. We’ll write the epilogue at some point. But yeah, a lot of love and gratitude for my time there.”

Many Packers fans may be tired of hearing about Rodgers now that he plays for the Jets, but it is evident that Rodgers is still very much a part of the organization even though he is no longer there. One really has to admire that he still talks to the workers that get little recognition in the media, or are presumably underappreciated by other players.

And while there still may be bitterness among fans for how it ended, there is no doubt that once Rodgers decides to call it a career, he will sign a one-day contract and retire as a Green Bay Packer.

As he should, and as he deserves.
