Sr. Vendor Manager, Sports, Fashion and Fitness at Amazon.com Services LLC

Amazon is looking for a team-oriented, highly analytical and passionate Business leader to join the Fashion and Fitness team. The Senior Vendor Manager will be responsible for developing and managing a dynamic business in our Fitness category. This role is responsible for Exercise and Fitness vendor relationship management and negotiations, driving sales/marketing/promotions, implementing operational performance improvements and creating a world class customer experience.

The candidate will own the Connected Fitness category with management of key accounts including Peloton, iFit, Hydrow and more.

The candidate will own their categories from start to finish and will be responsible for meeting the following targets: revenue and margin growth, selection count, in-stock rate, inventory turnover and aging as well as leading process/efficiency improvement targets.

In addition, this position is expected to provide leadership across categories - driving systems, process, and customer experience improvements that will benefit all customers at amazon.com. This will include heavy focus on the heavy bulky products and the Fitness relationship with the AMXL and ALL teams.

The successful Senior Vendor Manager must be able to:
- Act as the business owner for assigned categories, possessing a complete understanding (inclusive of the strategic context) of internal and external variables that impact your business (this entails owning forecasting, monitoring, understanding and reporting on the business, along with responsibility for driving projects and promotions to achieve business objectives)

- Have a thorough understanding of the industry, seasonality and business trends/events, and continually monitor competitor/industry developments

- Maximize Amazon’s business profitability and selection expansion opportunities

- Have a complete understanding of the customer needs, both existing and potential, and use that knowledge to advocate for and drive delivery of site features that provide Amazon customers with an unparalleled shopping experience

- Manage vendor relationships - manage supplier/partner contracts, manage day-to-day relationships, and negotiate and secure marketing funds

- Create business plans for new opportunities and develop and execute project plans for the launch of new features, incorporating merchandising and pricing strategies

- Coordinate cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines

- Conduct financial analysis of business opportunities to meet and exceed revenue and profitability targets

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
- Experience using data to influence business decisions
- Experience with business analysis and P&L management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years working as a buyer in Retail
