Due to our recent growth, we are seeking an experienced physical therapist with a passion for sports medicine to oversee CPTE's expanding sports medicine program. In this role, you will provide quality, evidence-based, and individualized programs of physical therapy that encompass assessment, treatment, planning, implementation, education, and communication to facilitate patients in achieving optimal recovery and well-being. Your caseload will primarily consist of orthopedic cases, including a wide range of sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal diagnoses. Additionally, you will take the lead in fostering Sports Medicine activities and relationships to enhance our program's impact and growth.
What You'll Do- Oversee CPTEs expanding sports medicine program
- Provide direct patient care for sports-related injuries, evaluate functional needs and outcomes, and consult with other specialists. Review patients' functional needs and adjust care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Design and implement plans of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development; Plans will include but are not limited to manual therapy, aquatic therapy, neuromuscular training, modalities and functional rehabilitation.
- Conduct therapy practice within defined standards of care
- Create fitness and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients' specific needs; Promote patient's healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
- Communicate effectively with other professionals and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes·
- Document patient care services via EMR
- Direct the assistance of support staff as needed to achieve patients' functional goals
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards as required.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings, and workshops.
- Provide direction and leadership to staff as required and act as a resource to promote physical therapy in the community
- Graduate of a CAPTE accredited school of physical therapy
- Passion and experience working with athletes of all ages
- Active or pending state license to practice physical therapy
- Passion for delivering quality, evidence-based patient care
- Superior customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage and interact positively with a diverse patient population of all ages
- Drive to continually learn and grow
