Up to $20,000 incentive payments may be available to support relocation
(Be reimbursed for rent, childcare, school fees, relocation costs and more). The Victorian Government has allocated funds to support rural and regional Area Mental Health Services (AMHS) to provide incentives to attract workers to roles that are difficult to fill.
The new workforce relocation and incentive grants program is being administered by Rural Agency Workforce Victoria (RWAV).

About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Mental Health Clinician to undertake an ongoing position with the Access & Triage Team. Grampians Mental Health and Wellbeing Services (GMHWS) is a dynamic Area Mental Health Service striving to provide the highest standards of treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide intake services to potential client/s and consumers and other services of the regional catchment area, providing single session/family consultation, assessment and clinical treatment, including crisis assessment, intensive treatment and support for people, their families and carers.
• Undertake comprehensive mental health assessments (including Alcohol and other Drugs) of persons referred for service that are acutely unwell or at risk of becoming so.
• Provide short term clinical treatment plans that target identified biological, psychological, and social needs of patients and their families and include targeted evidence-based treatment strategies consistent with policies, procedures and discipline- specific standards.

Skills and experience

• Relevant professional qualification in a health-related discipline (nursing, social work, occupational therapy or psychology)
• Current AHPRA registration where applicable
• Demonstrated knowledge, experience and understanding of contemporary evidence-based treatments and best practices.
• Ability to recognise and proactively co-ordinate clinical responses within a multidisciplinary team context on a day-to-day basis.
