About the role

The Senior IT Projects Lead position is to support the IT Projects Team in the deliverables of various projects that are underway within Grampians Health and across the Grampians Rural Health Alliance. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can provide a number of functions to ensure projects are delivered successfully to our stakeholders providing a direct benefit to the community.

Skills and experience

We are looking for the following in our applicants:

  • Qualification in Project Management framework (PMBOK, Prince2, Agile or other) or working towards a qualification.
  • Proven success in similar positions managing multiple technical information systems projects within a large, complex organisation would be highly advantageous
  • Proven ability to engage stakeholders of all disciplines in a change management process.
  • Excellent relationship skills and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience within the healthcare industry is desirable.
  • Tertiary degree in a clinical discipline, IT, Health Information Management, Health Informatics is desirable.

Selection Criteria

  • Essential : Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management / Business / Information Technology and / or relevant equivalent experience or minimum 5 years’ similar practical experience
  • Desirable : Project Management qualifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, Agile / Scrum certificates) are highly desirable (or working towards).
  • Essential : Demonstrated achievements in managing multiple technical information systems projects within a large, complex organisations, partners and stakeholders.
  • Essential : Reliable transport and the ability to work between various worksites across Grampians Health and the Grampians region
  • Essential : Strong Interpersonal skills including the ability to build strategic working relationships, clear and concise communication and well established negotiation skills.
  • Essential : Have you received three doses of a COVID19 vaccine? If no, please provide further detail regarding doses received, booking dates and/or other relevant information.
  • Essential : The successful candidate must hold, or be prepared to undergo, an employee Working with Children Check (WWCC). Please advise if you currently hold an employee WWCC, if not are you willing to undergo one?
