MAIN PURPOSE:

To be accountable to drive and deliver Mytime Active’s fitness and wellbeing products and customer experience agenda, which significantly contributes to the strategic aims and objectives of Mytime Active.

This individual will be a real catalyst in driving the future success of Mytime Active, by combining a commercial focus, with enhanced customer experiences all aspects of our fitness services including but not limited to, customer experience, retention, personal and small group training, group exercise including gym-based classes, onboarding journey, fitness testing and assessments; and wellness services; and plays the key role in driving the development of these programmes and services, whilst ensuring a high-quality member experience and continual growth for our facilities is achieved.

The Cluster Fitness & Wellbeing Manager will work closely with all appropriate Managers and Staff within the business to communicate and execute fitness and wellbeing, programming and strategy across the relevant centres. In doing so the postholder will champion, apply and role model the values of Mytime Active and our Theory of Change.

KEY DUTIES:

• Be responsible for conducting direct and non-direct competitor analysis to gain a thorough understanding of what best-in-class fitness services and programming looks like. Then, leveraging these insights to deliver, concise and effective programming that is aligned with Mytime Active objectives.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of all Group Exercise programming and work with the relevant colleagues to improve program offerings and member experience, as well as furthering instructor education. Includes, but not limited to, implementing and supporting the overall enhancement to ensure service and programming effectiveness through systems, processes and execution.
• Responsible for driving personal training revenue.
• Contribute to the development of educational opportunities in order to keep our fitness offering at the forefront of the industry. Provides in-house workshops, recognized qualifications and other continuing education opportunities to the Fitness teams.
• Provide monthly detailed reporting to the business, on facility performances related to all fitness key performance indicators including group exercise, and personal training services.
• Drive member retention through programming and appropriate launching and execution of our retention strategy.
• Lead and inspire the centre teams in delivering fitness key performance indicators and delivering first-rate customer service
• Ensure customer service targets are met, all comments are responded to within stipulated deadlines, appropriate action is taken and CIP is updated
• In conjunction with the sales team, drive the Mytime Active MyJourney to evidence customer impact
• Line management responsibilities for recruitment, induction, delivering training, appraisal, development and performance management of staff, including 1-2-1s
• Work evening and weekends when necessary.
• Maintain own mandatory qualifications, licensing and CPD/ training requirements.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

*       Knowledge of public health, fitness market, group exercise and & personal training;

*       Creative and entrepreneurial, developing creative solutions that are operationally effective and fit within commercial constraints;

*       Proven problem solving, facilitation and collaboration skills;

*       Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously ranging from strategy to execution;

*       Understanding and commitment to the blend of social and commercial objectives of the company;

*       Ability to think like a customer and understand different customer needs through customer insight and segmentation, design, launch and fully implement initiatives

*       Experience in a comparable fitness role

*       Management experience in the leisure industry, including carrying out appraisals, developing team members and dispute resolution.
