Manchester City ace Erling Haaland will get his own playable character in the hit video game Clash of Clans.

Finnish game maker Supercell is anointing the 23-year-old Norwegian sensation ‘Barbarian King.' Haaland, an avid Clash of Clans player, often plays the popular games as part of his pre-match ritual. Now, he'll get to play his own speedy and strong character.

The forward revealed news of the deal on social media, presenting a real-life and virtual cameo in which he spearheads an attack on another village.

“It's been tough to keep this one quiet, but I'm excited to finally be able to talk about this epic partnership with Clash of Clans,” said Haaland, whose facial expressions are often the target of epic memes.

“I've been a huge fan of the game for a long time and know everything about it, so to appear as an in-game character is really cool.”

“When we heard Haaland was a fan of our game and that he wanted to partner with us, it was really a dream scenario,” said Stuart McGaw, general manager of the popular mobile video game.

The game makers beat out GTA (Grand Theft Auto), which has developed a reputation for creating in-game characters of some of the world's best footballers, including Messi and Ronaldo. Messi and Neymar are already featured as skins in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
