Nabaiji vs Speedo – Which is meant for you?

There are a lot of factors that determine whether you should go for Nabaiji or you should go for Speedo.

Here we try to help you choose your brand, so that you have a satisfying experience.

What is Nabaiji?

Nabaiji is a brand of Swimming and water sports products that is part of the Decathlon Group. Decathlon is a French sporting goods retailer that specializes in producing and selling a wide range of sports equipment and apparel, including products for swimming and water-related activities.

Nabaiji offers a variety of products related to swimming and water sports. This includes swimsuits, swim caps, goggles, fins, snorkeling gear, and other accessories. Their products are designed for both recreational swimmers and competitive athletes and are known for their affordability and quality.

Nabaiji aims to make swimming and water sports accessible to a wide range of people by offering affordable and reliable products for water-based activities.

What is Speedo?

Speedo is a well-known and reputable brand in the world of swimwear and swim-related products. It has produced some high-quality swimwear and equipment that are designed to provide comfort, durability, and improved performance for swimmers. Speedo was founded in 1914 in Sydney, Australia. It has since become one of the most recognizable names in the swimming and aquatics industry.

Speedo is a go-to brand for competitive swimmers, divers, water polo players, and individuals who engage in various water-related sports and activities.

Speedo is known for its innovation in swimwear technology. They incorporate advanced and innovative materials and design features to enhance the performance of athletes in the water. Many elite swimmers and Olympic athletes have worn Speedo swimwear in major competitions.

Speedo vs. Nabaiji – How do you select?

Selecting Nabaiji or Speedo is a swimmer’s personal preference and it should meet the specific needs of the swimmer.

We have used both brands quite extensively and here are some factors to consider when making your choice

Remember you can still go ahead and make your own choice

What level of a swimmer are you?

First, try to understand what level of training are you in and what are personal goals you have regarding swimming.

  • Are you a beginner who is just learning to swim?
    • Go for Nabaiji. Nabaiji has a wide range of choice in terms of styles, design and color. You would get swimsuits for all ages of swimmers and you can easily walk into one of the decathlon stores.
  • Are you an intermediate swimmer who is comfortable in few strokes?
    • Nabaiji can still be your choice. There are other swimsuit brands that you still consider.
  • Are you an advanced swimmer who takes part for swimming competitions?
    • Go for Speedo. Fit is crucial when it comes to swimwear. Speedo is a better choice due to their focus on performance swimwear. If you have specific requirements such as UV protection, thermal insulation, or chlorine resistance, check the product specifications and check for the features you need.
  • For regular use for training for a competitive swimmer, you can opt for any of the brands. Here you would need a swimsuit which is durable and a good fit.

How did we make the selection?

When you are swimming as a beginner or intermediate level, you would need something to be comfortable in water. When you are a competitive swimmer, your attention is more to performance and reliability.

You would also like to check which brands are easily available. Competitive brands in required designs are not readily available in all times. So you might want to use them sparingly. On the other hand Decathlon stores are available in all major cities in India and they have a wide range of stock.

Compare the prices of similar products from both brands. Keep in mind that higher-end swimwear often comes with better features and materials, but you should balance quality with your budget.

Swimwear is something you want to try before wearing. It is all about right fit.

Swim Gear: Nabaiji Vs Speedo

Swim gear like swim goggles and head cap should be bought as per needs and availability. Both brands have a good range of silicon caps.

Swim caps

To know how to select your swim cap, you can read the article on swimming caps

Nabaiji head caps are widely worn by all swimmers because of their ease of availabilty. There are also quite durable and inexpensive.

For competitive swimming, you might want to keep stock of Speedo.

For Goggles

There are goggles meant for recreation and fun, and there are goggles meant for racing.

Swim goggles are one of the most important swimming gear for a swimmer and it has to be a perfect fit for all swimmers to prevent water from leaking in. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced swimmer you should buy goggles which are provides a better fit for your face shape and size.

Choose the lens type that suits your swimming conditions and preferences. Different goggle models may come with different lens types, such as clear, tinted, mirrored, or polarized.

For competitive swimmers, you would also like to check goggles made from high-quality materials that are resistant to fogging, scratches, and UV damage.

I have always preferred Speedo over Nabaiji for goggles but you should try out both before making a choice.

Swimming equipment: Speedo vs. Nabaiji

Here we talk of hand paddles, kickboard, and swim fins. These are equipment that you need for training and you do not need to buy often, Kickboard and hand paddles have lasted my forever and I have bought them from Speedo. For swim flippers my go to brand is Finis. Swimming equipment are meant for training and mainly used by competitive swimmers.

If you are a serious swimmer and want to pursue swimming, see that you buy from the brand which is known for its product.

Swimming Accessories : Speedo Vs Nabaiji

Here I would prefer Nabaiji over Speedo.

When I speak of swimming accessories I mean swim towels, swim ponchos, mesh bags, and pouches

Nabaiji has a wide range of good quality inexpensive items. Consider swim towels itself, you get in all possible size. You can get head towels and swim ponchos which you hardly get from any other brand. Go ahead and get stuff from Nabaiji.

What are the pros and cons of Speedo and Nabaiji

Speedo
