Fans love Lampard doing his signature viral move in Monday Night Football studio

Frank Lampard returned to television on Sky Sport’s Monday Night Football and wasted no time as he pulled out his signature move.

Making a rare appearance on TV since leaving his post as interim boss of Chelsea in the summer, Sky Sports host Dave Jones asked him how he was doing away from Football.

Fans were left in stitches by the Chelsea legend’s funny-to-serious look

“Yeah good,” Lampard replied, before breaking into a little giggle.

“Less stress! Enjoying the family,” he continued with a big smile before the inevitable: “But no.

“It comes with the territory of managing, especially the stresses of the Premier League.

“I think it’s important you try and find the time out of the game to recharge a bit and enjoy things you don’t get the chance to do when you’re working.”

And it did not take long for a clipped-up version of the encounter went viral with fans in stitches over what has become known as the Lampardian Transition.

One fan said: “I will genuinely tell my grandkids I was lucky enough to witness prime Zidane, Messi, Jordan, Federer, Nadal, Djokovic, Williams, Woods, and O’Sullivan, and also Lampard doing jokey-to-serious transitions in interviews.”

Another wrote: “He surely knows.”

This supporter put: “Nobody can get near him in this form. People try, but they can’t do it like this.”

And a fourth said: “He returns with a vintage Lampard answer.”

While this fan wrote: “He is so far ahead of the field. Nobody does it like Frank.”

Lampard was appearing in the Monday Night Football studio alongside Jamie Carragher as Chelsea took on Fulham.

And the former midfielder’s old club returned to winning ways after a tough start to the season in the Premier League.

Mykhailo Mudryk netted his first goal for the club in his 24th appearance for the club while Armando Broja scored on his return to the side after ten months out injured.

Mauricio Pochettino was desperate for a victory, having lost three times already in the Premier League this season.

This was just Chelsea’s second victory in the league this year, having tasted defeat in disappointing fashion to Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa recently.

But three points against Fulham has given them some much-needed confidence ahead of Saturday’s match against Burnley at Turf Moor.
