Jurgen Klopp has said that Mohamed Salah won’t be leaving Liverpool under any circumstances.

The Egypt star has been making headlines all over the world amid links with a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

talkSPORT understands that Al Ittihad made an offer to sign Salah, with the forward set to become the Saudi Pro League’s highest-paid player should a move come off.

However as far as Liverpool are concerned, it seems that the deal is a non-starter.

Klopp explained: “It’s difficult to talk about media stories as there’s nothing to talk about from our point of view.

“Mo Salah is a Liverpool player. There’s nothing there. If there was something the answer would be no (he’s not for sale).”

“My life philosophy is I think about a problem when I have it. At the moment, there’s nothing. I said already if there is something, the answer would be no.

Asked if Salah is fully committed to the club, Klopp said: “100 per cent.”

Klopp continued to talk about the challenges that the Saudi Pro League pose to clubs like them, saying: “It’s not cool for us, that’s clear.

“If we want a player from Wigan, say, we go there and we pay the price. Same in Bundesliga etc. Now there’s a next level and it’s not great but this is part of the business. Not sure you can change that.”

Salah has two years remaining on his current contract with Liverpool, having penned a three-year extension last year.

Since arriving at the club in 2017, the forward has scored 187 goals in 307 appearances for the club, providing 80 assists for his teammates.
