West Ham are finally making some moves in the transfer market, but fans are right to be concerned.
Declan Rice’s transfer to Arsenal for £105million was announced on July 15 and so far the Hammers have not spent a penny of that cash.

With the season starting this week, they are the only club yet to make a senior signing.
There was plenty of positivity surrounding the club after their Europa Conference League success, but they have failed to build on it.
Things are not well behind the scenes either with talkSPORT understanding that David Moyes and new technical director Tim Steidten are disagreeing over transfers.
West Ham have walked away from a deal to sign James Ward-Prowse as they refuse to pay over the odds.
However, they will get their transfer business up and running with the signing of Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez for around £34m.
The Hammers also saw a £60m bid for Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay knocked back by Manchester United.
They will need to increase that offer to land the pair, but reports suggest that £75m could be enough.
Moyes’ side have also been linked with a shock move for Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney. The Scotland international has been out of favour at the Gunners since Oleksandr Zinchenko’s signing.

Moyes’ is job is understood to be under threat and he will need to strong start to the season to avoid the sack.
The Hammers start their Premier League campaign with a trip to Bournemouth on Saturday.

Former West Ham coach Stuart Pearce told talkSPORT that there will be frustration at the club over the lack of transfer business.
“It’s not just Declan’s position, but they’ve got to fill other positions within the team to bolster the squad,” Pearce said.
“The tighter you get to the window, the more players’ valuations fluctuate. Every manager wants to start the window by getting their business done, go on holiday, and come back.
“It never works like that, but there will be a little bit of frustration there that they haven’t brought players in. Same with the fans and the same will apply with Dave [Moyes] and the chairman I’m sure.
“They will know they have to strengthen their squad from last year.”
The Hammers were embroiled in a relegation fight last season before dragging themselves up to 14th.
The Europa Conference League victory papered over the cracks and the club could find themselves fighting at the wrong end of the table again.
