Tottenham get their disrupted pre-season schedule back underway in Singapore with a clash against local side Lion City Sailors this week.

Spurs are looking to play only their second friendly of the summer after a showdown with Leicester was cancelled in Bangkok.

Ange Postecoglou’s side have now made the trip across Asia having started their pre-season with a 3-2 defeat to West Ham in Australia.

Tottenham were originally booked for a reunion with former manager Jose Mourinho but Roma have since pulled out.

Singapore side Lion City Sailors have now been drafted in as replacements ahead of the club’s return to north London.

This friendly will be played on Wednesday, July 26.

Kick-off at the Singapore National Stadium is scheduled for 12.30pm UK time.

“Harry has been fantastic for me,” Son told reporters. “He’s always professional, always working hard.

“He’s never showed any thoughts about himself. There’s so much news going around it’s also not easy for him, but he’s captain at the moment and he’s working with the team.

“He doesn’t show any distraction. He loves being here. I love him as a player. I fully respect him.

“He’s one of the best strikers in the world, has been for five, six, seven years in a row. The decision will be between the club and Harry and we have to respect it.

“I can’t say anything about the final decision because I don’t know anything. Probably Harry doesn’t know. We just have to wait.”
