Harry Kane has made it ‘very clear’ he wants to move from Tottenham to Munich

Harry Kane has made it ‘very clear’ he wants to move from Tottenham to Munich, claims Bayern chief… who insists ‘we WILL get him’ if the £120m England captain doesn’t change his mind

  • Bayern Munich are convinced Harry Kane wants to join them this summer
  • Honorary president Uli Hoeness revealed that talks have been held with Kane
  • The German stated that the England captain has made his decision ‘ very clear’

There is evident belief amongst the ranks at Bayern Munich that Harry Kane wants to move to the club this summer.

Kane is the subject of whirlwind transfer speculation with Munich already having a bid rejected by Tottenham for their striker, while Manchester United are also monitoring the Englishman’s situation.

Spurs are desperate to keep hold of Kane and are ready to offer him a new mega-money contract that also includes a post-playing role at the club in a bid to ward off interest.

However, Bayern are keen to get their man and honorary President Uli Hoeness has explained that discussions with Kane have indicated the player wants to complete a move.

Bayern are ramping up pre-season preparation and Hoeness revealed that Kane has told the German giants he wants to join, stating in an interview with Kicker: ‘So far, Harry has made it very clear in all conversations that his decision stands.

‘And if it stays, then we’ll get it. Then Tottenham will have to give in. Because such a club is worth 80 million, 90 million … there is no such thing.’

Hoeness further explained that he hasn’t frequently spoken to the 29-year-old, but that former Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was in regular contact.

Kane reported for pre-season training at Tottenham earlier in the week as the club prepare to jet off on their pre-season tour of Australia, Thailand, and Singapore.

The England captain’s reported discussions with the Bundesliga champions will come as a hammer-blow to Spurs supporters who had been growing in confidence that their talisman would extend his stay.

Head coach Ange Postecoglou held talks with Kane upon the player’s return to training ahead of the new season and reports suggested the prolific Premier League goalscorer was left impressed by the Australian.

However, Bayern believe they hold the upper-hand in Kane’s future by being able to offer the forward regular Champions League football, something Spurs are unable to do.

Hoeness additionally stated: ‘He [Kane] now has another opportunity to come to a top club in Europe.

Bayern will have to agree a fee with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy who is renowned for being a tough negotiator

‘What we all like is that he and his advisors – his father and brother – have always been very clear – until now – about what they have promised. If it stays that way, that’s okay.’

His comments are supported by the sentiments of Bayern head coach Thomas Tuchel who cryptically stated that the club will do everything to get Kane to the club.

In a press conference, the German said: ‘I will not comment on players who are not under contract with us. But we’re looking at this position. If we’re convinced a player would help us, then we go all in’

Bayern will have to agree a settlement with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy – who is renowned for being a difficult negotiator – if they are to get their top target.
