Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the latest of a number of Chelsea players to join Milan in recent years
But Pulisic, who has only a year left on his contract at Chelsea, has told the Premier League club that he will not be joining Lyon – irrespective of their offer.
Milan knows Pulisic wants to join after four years at Stamford Bridge.
The two clubs have worked together on a number of transfers over recent seasons, involving Olivier Giroud, Fikayo Tomori, Tiemoue Bakayoko and, most recently, Ruben Loftus-Cheek – who signed for Milan last month.
Pulisic made only eight Premier League starts last season for Chelsea, who are beginning life under new manager Mauricio Pochettino.
But the winger remains a key player for the USMNT, having scored 23 goals in 57 international appearances.
