Spine Specialists Have Told Big E Not To Wrestle Again

Spine Specialists Have Told Big E Not To Wrestle Again

During the March 11th, 2022, episode of SmackDown, Ridge Holland gave Big E an overhead belly-to-belly suplex on the floor, with the former WWE Champion, unfortunately, landing on his head. It was immediately apparent Big E was injured, and the tag match also featuring Kofi Kingston and Sheamus would conclude in the Ring without him.

Subsequently, Big E tweeted that his neck was broken. And now, 17 months on, Big E has spoken to Nick Hausman of Haus of Wrestling at the SummerSlam press conference, revealing he has been told by specialists not to return to the ring.

“We did the year check-up, and all that stuff looked great, but on the other side, I also talked to spine specialists, people who have worked on other people in the company and done their fusions, and they said, ‘Hey, I would not wrestle again if I were you.’”

Big E

Some optimistic fans had hoped Big E would Wrestle at WrestleMania earlier this year, but with it understood that his next major checkup was set to be in March, that seemed impossible. Nevertheless, multiple wrestlers have returned to the ring after severe neck injuries, including Steve Austin, Edge, and Tommaso Ciampa, so there does still remain a chance Big E will return to the ring. Yet, there does seem to be a significant risk f he opts to do so.
