Liv Morgan & Charlotte Flair Have Been Replaced In Upcoming Movie

Writer, producer, and director Ash Avildsen is currently working on turning The Queen of the Ring: Sex, Muscles, Diamonds, and the Making of an American Legend into a movie starring Emily Bett Rickards as Mildred Burke. And it was subsequently reported that both Liv Morgan (portraying Clara Mortensen) and Charlotte Flair (portraying June Byers) had been cast in the film. It was also noted that Jim Ross would be working behind the scenes, seemingly in a consultancy role.

Now, though, PWInsider.com has confirmed that both of the WWE stars were replaced in the movie, with AEW’s Toni Storm now representing Mortensen, while the NWA’s Kamille now plays Byers. No reason for the replacements has been provided.

For those unaware, Mildred Burke is considered one of the most influential female wrestlers of all time, having competed between 1935 and 1955. And during this time, she held multiple world championships, including the NWA World Women’s Championship, for most of that period. Additionally, she would launch the World Women’s Wrestling Association out of Los Angeles, California. Then in her later years, she ran a wrestling school, with Bertha Faye considered the most successful student.
