Why Black Sherif is Sad During Car Prize Awards – Did you watch the video where Empire Entertainment presents two brand new cars to Black Sherif for winning VGMA Artist of The Year? Well, Blacko was not looking happy in that video and it has generated some media questioning.
So for those asking why Black Sherif is sad during Car Prize Awards, this is why.
Black Sherif broke out as a new kid on the block in 2021 under the management of one Snap Chavis Wayne. However, with how fast and quickly fame was knocking on the doors of the young singer, he demanded new management and signed a Deal with US-based record label Empire Entertainment in late 2021, which was against his contractual agreement with the existing management. This cause a breakout and was settled at court.
Blacko’s deal with Empire Entertainment was described by many blogs as the worst and most ‘unthought of’ deal in the life of any artist. Some even said he signed his life away for less than $100 every month. Though that was later clarified as false, the fact remains that Black Sherif’s deal with Empire Entertainment is the worst any Ghanaian singer ever signed.
Some well-known blogs such as PulseGh, KuulPeeps, DKlassGh, GhGossip, and Ghanaweb made it clear that Black Sherif signed a 15-year deal with the record label taking almost 70% of his earning through streams and shows. The only good news included in the deal is, he can opt out of the deal anytime feels like it.
Well, as part of giving back a token of what he gave them, Empire Entertainment gave Black Sherif two brand-new cars and he was happy because he knew he is worth more than the two cars, Or in other words, his works so far have generated income than is even aware of.
So, simply, Black Sherif is sad because he knew he signed a deal that bound him to do what doesn’t give him much money. Hopefully, he creates his own record label soon and enjoy all the money.
Empire will give Blacko two cars for winning the VGMA Award but will pocket more than 70% of the money made from his streams.
He knows they’re milking him, which is why he’s not happy. Bad Deal!

Do you remember Ghanaian legendary Hiplife singer Reggie Rockstone labeling Black Sherif’s deal with Empire Record Label as the worst deal ever any artist would ever sign? Well, it is getting dawning on him now as he is getting only peanuts for his hard work and dwelling only on the fan and hype of it.
