Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) entered the IPL 2023 mini-auction with the highest purse of 42.25 crores among all ten teams. They made headlines by acquiring English batsman Harry Brook for a whopping price of 13.25 crores and former Punjab Kings skipper Mayank Agarwal for 8.25 crores.
Before the mini-auction, SRH announced that they would part ways with their former captain Kane Williamson. Aiden Markram, the South African batsman, was later named as the new captain for IPL 2023. SRH will kickstart their campaign in TATA IPL 2023 against Rajasthan Royals (RR) led by Sanju Samson on April 2 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
