Wirtz not going to wait for Barcelona

According to SPORT, Barcelona are not going to enter the bidding for Wirtz in the Upcoming Summer transfer window, when the player will be able to leave Bayer Leverkusen. Wirtz and his entourage are also aware of these plans of Barcelona and will not wait for the Catalans if a good offer comes this summer.

Wirtz has exploded at Bayer Leverkusen this season after coming from a long spell on the sidelines due to an injury. Barcelona like the player a lot and want him to spend another season at Leverkusen because they will not be able to bid for him in the upcoming summer. However, such a scenario is looking impossible.

In addition to his quality, Wirtz also attracted Barcelona’s attention with his public expression of admiration for the Catalan club. However, Barcelona would not be able to pay the fee that a player of Wirtz’s quality commands and thus will lose the player, at least for the short term.

Big clubs across Europe to battle for the youngster

Reports from Germany claim that Leverkusen have decided to put the player on the market in the upcoming summer and will be valuing him at around €85 million.

Bayern Munich are one of the clubs that will try to sign him in the summer as they look to boost their midfield by combining Wirtz with Musiala.

Premier League clubs like Manchester City, Manchester United, and Newcastle United are also attentive to the player and may get into a bidding war for him. However, Barcelona have no plans to become a part of such a battle.
