Bukayo Saka out of Arsenal squad for huge Man City clash

Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has been left out of their squad for their home clash against Manchester City.

Saka limped off with an injury in the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat to Lens in the Champions League during the week.

His fitness was therefore a concern ahead of the visit of the Premier League champions.

However, Arsenal will be without Saka at the Emirates Stadium in what could be a huge blow to their chances of winning.

Gabriel Martinelli was, however, named on their bench in his first squad appearance since September 17.

Mikel Arteta has opted for a front three of Eddie Nketiah, Gabriel Jesus and Leandro Trossard.

The Gunners have lost all of their last 12 Premier League meetings against City.

Both sides have played each already this season though as Arsenal emerged victorious in the Community Shield.

Last season’s league meetings both proved crucial as the two sides battled for the title.

City won the first clash 3-1 at the Emirates before thumping the north London side 4-1 in the reverse fixture.

Such results helped guide them towards their third consecutive Premier League crown.

Arsenal will be gunning for revenge this time around with just one point separating them ahead of the clash.
