Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been cleared by Dolphins team doctors to play despite thinking he is actually a fire truck. The Dolphins medical staff cleared Tagovailoa after he sustained his third concussion of the season against the Packers on Christmas Day. 

According to team doctors, Tagovailoa was examined by the top neurologist they could find, and after being told what to say, agreed with their assessment that the former Alabama star is just fine. “We examined Tua’s brain very thoroughly,” an unnamed man in a white lab coat said. “It’s a great brain. Some say the best brain. No, we didn’t need to use a cat scanner, MRI, or any other fancy equipment. We can just tell that he’s okay. Trust us.”

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said he was thrilled to hear Tagovailoa would be ready to go. He added “Tua is a tough kid that could probably play every down if we didn’t have these wimpy brain rules. He’s going to play this week because of that toughness, and because there’s no way in hell I’m letting Teddy Bridgewater throw another interception.”

When asked what he thought about outside medical experts’ concerns that these repeated concussions could do long term damage to Tagovailoa’s brain, McDaniel just screamed back “DOCTORS DON’T KNOW BALL.”

Tua Tagovailoa’s injuries come as the NFL continues to crack down on any contact with the quarterback. This is especially true of the quarterback’s name is Tom Brady. While some quarterbacks still fear for their lives, it appears Tagovailoa is not concerned about the potential threat these concussions can have on his health. 

When asked what he thought about his potential CTE danger, Tagovailoa responded “No, CTE isn’t dangerous. Fire is dangerous! And I’m a big red fire truck that puts out the fire!” He then ran around the room making siren noises.
