New Scalextric Exhibition

The Silverstone Museum is bringing two iconic British brands together this Easter with the launch of the ultimate Scalextric track.

So for those of you who haven’t quite mastered go karting.

Or only have your Lego Land license, this is the perfect exhibition for you.

If you’ve ever wanted to race around Silverstone, but didn’t think it was be possible.

Think again.

Launching April 1st, the world famous Silverstone Circuit has been recreated by the team at Scalextric to bring you the incredible ‘On Track’ exhibition.

A Mini Silverstone

I was lucky enough to go behind the scenes, as one of the first guinea pigs or VIPs (whatever you want to call me). Let’s just say Lewis Hamilton has nothing to worry about.

Whilst I claim I was too good to race in the Scalextric final, others say I was too slow. Very, very slow.

But if you think you have what it takes to top the leaderboard, then don’t forget to book your ticket to the Silverstone Museum this Easter!

Fans of all ages will be able to go wheel-to-wheel as they race around a miniature Silverstone. And when I say miniature Silverstone, I mean it. The resemblance really is uncanny, from the safety car to the portaloos and even the flying red arrows. It’s not just a Scalextric track, it’s a work of art.

The team spent hundreds of hours, building 108 individual sections of a 25 metre long track. For you to enjoy with the rest of the museum from as little as £22.50 for adults and £13.50 for kids. Talk about value for money!

The ‘on track’ Scalextric exhibition is set to be a highlight of the Easter holidays (1-16 April).
