International Women’s Day: Celebrating Inspirational Women In Motorsport

Happy International Women’s Day from the team at Everything F1. To celebrate we are going to be spotlighting some inspirational women in motorsport.

Naomi Schiff

Naomi Schiff is a 28-year-old Belgian Rwandan racing driver and TV presenter who grew up in South Africa. In 2019 Naomi competed in the very first season of W Series and in 2021 she was a reserve driver in the series. Prior to this she came first in the Clio Cup China Series in 2014. Following her first season competing in W Series she was appointed as the Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador for the series. Now you can find her presenting on Sky Sports F1 as a member of the presenting team and a host of ‘Any Driven Monday’.

Bianca Bustamente

Bianca Bustamante is an 18-year-old Filipino racing driver. In 2022 she competed in W Series as part of the W series driving academy. This year she competed in the Formula 4 UAE Championship which took place across January and February with Prema. On February 3rd it was that Bianca would participate in F1’s brand new F1 Academy with Prema.

Reema Juffali

Reema Juffali is a 31-year-old racing driver from Saudi Arabia. Throughout her career, she has made history by being the first ever Saudi Arabian woman racing driver and international motor race winner. She is also the first ever Saudi woman to hold a racing license. Reema has competed in numerous series across the world including the F4 British Championship, Formula 4 UAE Championship, and the International GT Open PRO-AM. Last year Reema founded her own race team named Theeba Motorsport with the aim of improving Saudi Arabian access and participation in motorsport.

Lella Lombardi

Lella Lombardi was an Italian racing driver who competed in Formula One and 24 Hours of Le Mans – in 1976 she came second at Le Mans and the following year she achieved 4th position. She made history by being the only woman to have scored points in the Formula One World Championship which she won at the Spanish GP.

Charlotte Sefton

Charlotte Sefton is a communications professional working within motorsport. From 2014 to 2022 Charlotte worked with the Mclaren F1 team in their communications department. Earlier last year she moved to the W Series where she is now their Head of Communications.

Natalie Pinkham

Natalie Pinkham is a British television presenter and a member of the Sky Sports F1 presenting team. In 2011 she began as a pit lane reporter for BBC Five Live’s Formula 1 show. The following year Natalie began covering the 2012 F1 season at Sky Sports where again she was a pit lane reporter. In 2021 she made history as the first woman on British TV to commentate on an F1 session at the 2021 Bahrain GP.
