3. Dinesh Kartik as a Finisher:

Although Dinesh Kartik failed to fulfill his role as a finisher in T20 World Cup in Australia but for Royal Challengers Bangalore he was a 'Messiah' last year. He was one of the reasons why RCB played playoffs last year despite Kohli and Faf's poor performances.

1. Death Over Bowling:

RCB has no reliable death over bowler except Harshal Patel. In recent times, Harshal Patel's performances in death over is not satisfactory. Harshal should liveup to the expectations and perform for the team. Siraj and Hazlewood are excellent seam bowler and performing well but they are not effective enough in death overs either.

 2. Spinner Crisis:

Royal Challengers Bangalore doesn't have many options in spins. Of course, Maxwell, newly bought Will Jacks can bowl few overs but they are not proper spinners. RCB solely depends on Hasaranga for spin bowling. Yes, Shahbaz Ahmed is bowling excellently for Bengal but Bangalore hasn't tested him so well in IPL. Hence, Spin bowling is another crisis for RCB.

3. Lack of Experienced Players on Bench :

In case of any injury or off-form, RCB cannot rely on their bench strength. RCB don't have experienced batsman on bench. Opportunity for Royal Challengers Bangalore's Players:

1. Avinash Singh:

The right arm fast bowler from Jammu Kashmir, can easily click at the speed of 145 kmph. In recent times, we have witnessed bowlers who can continue bowl at 140+, get success in IPL easily. Either his mate Umran Malik or T. Natarajan or Avesh Khan, everyone performed well in previous IPL. So, there is a great opportunity for Avinash Singh to show his potential.

2. Harshal Patel:

An injury just before T20 World Cup, almost ruined his game and perhaps he lost his rhythm in death overs which he is known for. IPL 2023 will be a great opportunity for Harshal as well to show his potential as a death over bowler and a lower order batsman. 3. Anuj Rawat:

Anuj Rawat joined RCB in 2022 with a great hype. The Delhi based wicketkeeper batsman failed completely last year to show his ability as an opener. But IPL 2023 is a great opportunity for him too to seal his place as number 3 batsman in the squad. 

5. Akash Deep:

Akash Deep played extremely well for Bengal this year. But somehow last year his performance for RCB was not good enough. He took few wickets but he was very expensive and that is the reason he was dropped from the playing 11. Hope, if he gets chances in 2023, he performs well in death overs and uses his speed and variation to fool the batters. 

6. Shahbaz Ahmed:

Shahbaz is a superstar when he plays for Bengal. But unfortunately, he didn't get enough space in RCB to show his allrounder talents. Although he already impressed Virat Kohli with his fielding but his skills with the bowl still need a stage to perform. Last year, Shahbaz along side Dinesh Kartik played few great innings with the bat and helped RCB to win. If Shahbaz gets enough opportunity in 2023, he can definitely challenge players like Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel for a place in Indian Cricket Team.

Threats for RCB:

1. Injury Concern:

Glenn Maxwell, who is the core of Royal Challenger's Bangalore's middle order is facing a leg injury which prevented him to participate in any form of cricket for at least 3 months.  He may return in IPL but his physical conditions and forms are doubtful. In case of further injury, there are no experienced player in RCB squad who can replace Maxwell at number 4.

2. National Duty:

We have often noticed, in the beginning of knockout stage, teams are facing problems as their main foreign players leave the team and go for national duty. RCB's strength is completely depends on foreign players as their spin attack will lead by Hasaranga, Pace attack will lead by Hazlewood and their middle order completely rely on Maxwell. In case of their unavailability, RCB doesn't have any like to like replacement for them. 

Also the bench consisting Finn Allen, David Willey, Reece Topley can also get a call for their national team as they are now first choice from their respective national team. It will shake the balance of RCB completely if their existing players don't step up to save the team. Hasaranga is expected to miss first few games due to his international commitments.

3. The Consistancy:

In recent years, we have seen Royal Challengers Bangalore starts their campaign in a very promising way but as soon as the competition goes on, their performance became dull. For example, In 2022, as top order failed to perform, Dinesh Kartik, Maxwell and Shahbaz Ahmed saved them with their batting. But later when middle order failed to perform, the top order couldn't step up. Hence, the consistency throughout the competition is another threat for RCB.

In the conclusion, we can sum up that Royal Challengers Bangalore's players are capable enough to win IPL in 2023 but the threats and weaknesses that RCB posses are insane as well. If things comes up roses, then RCB can win definitely. But RCB should address and sort out the difficulties as quick as possible whenever it appears.
