What is the Haryana TET?

The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) is an exam conducted by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) to recruit eligible and qualified candidates for the posts of teachers in the state of Haryana. The HTET is conducted at two levels, Level I for Class 1 to 5 teachers and Level II for Class 6 to 8 teachers. To be considered eligible for a teaching post, applicants must successfully pass the HTET exam. The exam consists of 150 multiple choice questions and the duration of the test is three hours. There are three subjects which are included in the HTET, namely Child Development and Pedagogy, Language I and II, Mathematics and Environmental Studies. The syllabus for the exam is based on the prescribed syllabus of classes 1-8.

What are the cut off marks for the Haryana TET?

The cut off marks for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) depend on several factors such as the category of the candidate, the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam, the level of difficulty of the paper and other such factors. The minimum qualifying marks for the HTET are given below:

Who are the toppers of the Haryana TET?

The toppers of the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2022 have been announced, and the top scorers are Rupesh Kumar (83.6%), Bhawana Bhardwaj (81.4%), Ramandeep Kaur (80.8%), and Anjali Sharma (80%).

The HTET is conducted twice a year by the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH). It tests the candidates’ understanding of teaching methods, pedagogy, language proficiency, subject content knowledge, and understanding of educational practices. The test assesses a candidate’s capability to teach at the primary (Class I to V), upper primary (Class VI to VIII) and secondary levels (Class IX to XII).

In order to be declared successful in the examination, candidates must secure 60% or more marks. The scores achieved by the candidates determine their position in the merit list. The top 10 scorers in each category are listed as the toppers for the exam. This year’s toppers were selected from amongst a pool of over 1.2 lakh applicants, who took the examination on January 16th and 17th.
