Michael Andretti’s racing team has given its most definitive indication yet of a potential leap into Formula 1.

Even though the Cadillac-supported F1 bid seemingly has the nod from the FIA, Andretti is encountering considerable resistance from current teams and also from Liberty Media.

Yet, despite the uncertainty surrounding the bid’s outcome, Andretti has recently signposted its ambitions by transitioning Andretti Autosport to ‘Andretti Global’.

“Andretti Global currently operates in eight motorsports platforms racing across six continents with an aspiration to stretch its global reach into other primary motorsports events,” the organization stated.

Former McLaren racer Andretti shared, “Just as proud as I am of our past, I’m equally thrilled about our future.

“This new identity marks a significant step in our team’s evolution, but it’s just the beginning. We’re driven to reach greater heights and are optimistic about what lies ahead for Andretti Global.”
